You would rarely find women wondering whether or not they can save with their car insurance. The fact is there is more money that can be saved on female driver car insurance as compared to the males. Why is this so?

If a male and female of the same age, with the same car model, maker and year made, plus the same credit history and driving history both applies for the same car insurance and at the same car insurance company, the female driver always get the lower rate. However, this is mostly applicable to women between the ages 16 and 25. It is believed that young female drivers are lesser prone to car accidents but as they age, the rate of road accidents between a male and a female tends to even out. Eventually, female driver car insurance will cost more.

So what exactly makes male drivers risky to insure? Men are not always wearing seatbelts. They drive faster at higher miles. They have a tendency to drink and drive which will lead them to violating traffic laws. The reasons for such are unexplainable. Psychologists would base these behaviors on young males’ coveted desires of impressing their peers, ultimate feeling of adrenalin rush and the impression of immortality that manifests in reckless driving and higher accident rates. But whatever the rationale behind, insurance providers have known these above mentioned details as facts and have created rates accordingly.

Females, on the other hand, get cheaper female driver car insurance because they are perceived by insurance providers as less aggressive and less likely to get involved in car accidents. They drive safer vehicles – especially among mothers who are safety-conscious when it comes to transporting their children. There may have been a few fallacies about women while driving such as constantly using the cellular phone while on the road or using mascara while driving behind the wheels. Whatever misleading notion there is, females get cheaper car insurance than males. And that is a fact.
